What we cover
We write about dog behavior, dog training, puppy training, and general dog care. Our aim is to sit between overly technical veterinary writing and thin listicles: plain-language, step-by-step guidance that explains the reasoning behind each method.
How we research
We base our guidance on reputable, widely recognized sources, including organizations such as the American Kennel Club (AKC), the ASPCA, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), veterinary hospitals, and university and extension resources. Where we state a specific fact, we aim to attribute it to a named source so you can check it yourself.
We do not invent statistics, and we do not claim first-hand testing or professional credentials we do not have. When our guidance reflects general owner experience rather than clinical expertise, we say so.
Our approach to training methods
We favor reward-based, humane training methods. We do not recommend techniques or tools that rely on pain, fear, or intimidation. When experts disagree, or when a method has trade-offs, we tell you plainly rather than pretend there is one perfect answer.
